Patient Rules
& Guidelines
A few things we ask of every patient — so we can provide the best possible care for everyone.
At Brief Smile Factory, we work hard to create a welcoming, respectful, and efficient environment for every patient. The guidelines below help us do that. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.
Arrival Time
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and any paperwork. Late arrivals may need to be rescheduled if they exceed 15 minutes, to avoid disruption to other patients.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee. Please call us at (555) 123-4567 as soon as possible if your plans change.
Medical History Accuracy
Please provide complete and accurate medical and dental history, including medications, allergies, and health conditions. This is essential for your safety. Inform us of any changes at every visit, even if they seem minor.
Children & Minors
Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for their appointment. The guardian must be present during the consent and treatment process. We cannot treat minors without written parental consent.
Payment Policy
Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and most dental insurance plans. If you have questions about your coverage, our front desk team can assist with insurance verification prior to your appointment.
Respectful Conduct
We are committed to a safe, respectful environment for all patients and staff. Verbal abuse, aggression, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in termination of care and removal from our patient list.
Accompanying Visitors
For treatment rooms, we request a maximum of one support person per patient. We ask that accompanying visitors remain in the waiting area unless the patient specifically requires their presence for accessibility, anxiety, or support reasons.
Mobile Phones
We ask patients to silence mobile devices during treatment and while in consultation areas. Phone calls in the waiting area are welcome, but please be considerate of other patients seeking a calm environment.
Photography & Recording
Photography or video recording of staff, other patients, or clinical areas without explicit written consent from Brief Smile Factory management is not permitted. Before-and-after photography of your own treatment results requires your written consent, which we will request separately.
Feedback & Complaints
We welcome and value all patient feedback. If you have a concern or complaint, please speak with our practice manager or write to us at [email protected]. We are committed to resolving all concerns promptly and professionally.
