Brief Smile Factory was founded by Dr. Elena Hartwell and Dr. Marcus Osei — two clinical partners who trained together at UT Health Austin and shared the same quiet frustration: dental care was excellent, but the experience rarely was.
They opened their first studio in 2016 with twelve chairs, a philosophy of radical patient comfort, and a commitment to honest, transparent care. In the years since, they've grown to a team of eight practitioners and served over 12,000 patients across greater Austin.
The name "Brief Smile Factory" is intentional. A smile — however brief — is the universal signal that something is right. That's what we build here.
